Our Background

It’s incredibly important to support women—especially those facing challenging life circumstances—in learning technology and Microsoft Office skills. In today’s workforce, digital literacy is no longer optional; it’s essential. Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint opens the door to a wide range of employment opportunities and increases earning potential in almost every industry.

For many of the women I serve, these skills can be the first step toward self-sufficiency and a more stable future for their families. They often bear the full responsibility of supporting their households, especially in situations where the father is incarcerated or absent. Providing them with these fundamental skills gives them confidence, independence, and access to better-paying jobs—whether in administration, healthcare, education, or small business.

With my background in the business world, I know firsthand what employers are looking for. I’ve seen talented individuals passed over simply because they lacked basic technical training. That’s why it’s so important to me to offer this kind of instruction—not just theory, but real-world, workplace-relevant training that makes them job-ready from day one.

Investing in these women isn’t just the right thing to do—it strengthens families, builds communities, and contributes to a more equitable workforce. That’s what drives me, and that’s the mission behind Invest-n-her Learning.
